Overall, the A level pass rate for 2019 at A*-E is 100% with passes at A*-A at 27.4% (up 6% on 2018) and A*-B at 40.6% (up 2.6% on 2018). The A*-C pass rate is 80.2% ( up 11.2% on 2018) .
Students’ impressive results have seen them realise their ambitions by accessing an eclectic range of higher education undergraduate studies, ranging from highly selective vocational courses such as Nursing, Police Sciences and Stage Management, to highly competitive academic courses such as Psychology and Computing Science at some of the top universities in Scotland, England and Wales. The school is also very pleased to report that a record number of its students were awarded unconditional acceptances to university this year.
There have been some outstanding individual performances from Year 13 pupils.
Mrs Kite, Headteacher, and the Governing Body would like to congratulate all A Level pupils and thank staff and parents for their hard work and support in securing these strong outcomes. We are exceptionally proud of our students’ successes and we wish all of our Year 13 students, whether they are progressing to university, undertaking further education or securing apprenticeships or employment, the very best of everything for their big, bright and wonderful futures.
