Parent Governor Vacancies – advance notification

Please note there will shortly be the opportunity for parents of Ysgol Harri Tudur/Henry Tudor School learners to apply to become a parent governor. All parents of our learners are eligible and applications from our newly arrived Year 7 (in Sep 23) would be particularly welcome. Further details to follow in due course.

Community Governor Vacancy

Ysgol Harri Tudur / Henry Tudor School Governing Body has a vacancy for the voluntary position of Community Governor. The school is particularly keen to recruit new members whose skills would broaden the skills base of the Governing Body, and the role of Community Governor aims to ensure community representation and community interest on the Governing Body. Governors do not have to be parents of pupils at the school, but should have a genuine interest in education.

The minimum commitment for a School Governor is attendance at 3 afternoon meeting of the Full Governing Body. In practice, most governors become further involved in work of the Governing Body and attend sub-committee meetings which tend to take place in late afternoon.

Please note that all Governors are required to undergo mandatory training (induction and data) and will need a DBS through Pembrokeshire County Council.

This is a voluntary, unpaid position.

Anyone interested should contact the Headteacher's PA, Elissa Locke via email contact@yht.wales for more information and to request an application form. The closing date for applications is Friday 6th October 2023.
